Chanteuse: Love Songs, Torch Songs & Everything In Between

Friday, February 14

Valentineโ€™s Day can be complicated. So we made a show for all of it.

Whether youโ€™re celebrating love, dodging it, reclaiming it, or simply enjoying a fabulous night out, Chanteuse returns with an evening of all live-vocal drag, delivering songs that span romance, heartbreak, longing, humor, and unapologetic self-love. No lip-syncs. No shortcuts. Just powerhouse vocals in an intimate, candlelit speakeasy.

Hosted by Indyโ€™s own Lola Palooza, this special Valentineโ€™s edition welcomes two long-awaited guest artistsโ€”originally scheduled for our snowed-out holiday show and finally making their Chanteuse debut:

โœจ Tilda Whirl โ€“ Fort Wayneโ€™s queen of theater, serving drama, storytelling, and stunning live vocals

โœจ Ilana a la Mode โ€“ Indyโ€™s ingenue, bringing heart, charm, and effortless musicality

From sweeping ballads to biting wit, the nightโ€™s playlist is designed to meet you exactly where you areโ€”date night, girlsโ€™ night, solo night, or โ€œI survived Februaryโ€ night.

Good to Know Before You Go

๐ŸŽŸ Tickets & Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. If your plans change, cancellations must be completed at least 24 hours before show day through the ticketing platform where you created your account.

No shows are still considered sold tickets. Our performers are still paid, the lights are still on, and the emotional labor has already been scheduled. We appreciate your understanding and your adulthood.

๐Ÿ‘— Dress Code

There is no required dress code, but theming and fabulousness are always encouraged. Valentine glam, anti-Valentine drama, or โ€œI woke up hotโ€ are all acceptable interpretations.

๐Ÿธ Food & Drink

The speakeasy offers a private bar with table service throughout the show, along with a limited small-plate menu and specialty offerings curated by Chef Jake.

Guests interested in the full Shelby Street Tavern menu are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner downstairs before the show begins.

โ™ฟ Accessibility Notice

The speakeasy is located in a historic building and requires stairs to access. Unfortunately, there is no elevator available at this time.

๐Ÿš— Parking

On-site parking is available, along with free street parking nearby.

๐Ÿ’ธ Tipping the Entertainers

Tipping is strongly encouraged and always appreciated. This is live vocal drag, not wizardry. Your generosity helps keep the art sustainable and the performers hydrated.

๐Ÿ“ต Phones & Seating Etiquette

Please silence all cell phones during the performance. Notifications are the enemy of ballads.

Late seating can be disruptive in an intimate space, so we encourage timely arrival. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the show begins promptly at 8:00 PM.

๐Ÿ“ธ Photography & Video

Photos and short video clips are welcome and encouraged. Please do not record full numbers or extended portions of the show.

Support live art. Be present. Donโ€™t give the entire experience away to someone who chose not to buy a ticket.

๐Ÿ–ค Audience Conduct

Chanteuse is an intentionally intimate experience. Kindness, respect, and basic human decency toward performers, staff, and fellow audience members are not optional, they are foundational.

A Note from Lola

Chanteuse is a safe space. Full stop.

All performers and attendees are expected to be respectful of others regardless of sexuality, gender identity, gender expression, race, religion, or background. Trans lives matter. Black lives matter.

This show exists to celebrate artistry, vulnerability, and connection, especially for those who feel isolated or unseen in the world. If that resonates with you, you are welcome here. If it doesnโ€™t, this may not be your show.

We sing live. We show up fully. We take care of each other. ๐Ÿ’‹
